New Year's Resolution
New year, new me... right? It's almost a whole month into the new year, so how are your New Year's Resolutions coming along (for those who actually made them)?
Not going very well for me. For whatever reason, the laziness in me took over during the winter break and it never left. Maybe it was the tough fall semester that I had which drained all my energy, but I seemed to have lost all motivation to do anything productive.
Personally, I'm not too big on New Year's Resolutions. I rather try to write down goals that I want to achieve and try to check them off by the end of the year. However, my biggest problem is making attainable goals. I could sit here and write down numerous goals in a few minutes... but what is the possibility of achieving them all?
I often overestimate the capacity of my productivity. I'm a natural procrastinator and would always underestimate how much time it would take me to complete a task or assignment. In undergrad and even now in grad school, I would try to make a study schedule but things would just keep getting pushed back.
Even now, it's almost 2am and I was supposed to finish up an online lecture for one of my classes but I decided that starting a blog was a better use of my time. Why brain, WHY?
Well for what it's worth, here are some goals I want to achieve this year:

Well for what it's worth, here are some goals I want to achieve this year:
- Learn new languages
- Be more active / health conscious
- Actually study ahead of time
- Meet new people, build new connections
- Be more active in the community
- Possibly blog consistently?
- Spend more time with family
- Be more confident
- Explore more, 'do things out of the box'
- Revive hobbies that I dropped
- ... I feel like this is already getting out of hand so I'll stop here.
